IT Services Team Lead North and East Europe

Job purpose

We are looking for our new IT Services Team lead North and East Europe. You will be leading a Team of IT professionals in North and Eastern Europe (Netherlands, Poland). You'll directly provide onsite support for a variety of IT hardware and software. You will be responsible for develop a sustainable and productive working relationship with end users of all IS services. Under the direction of Network/System Administrators you will perform requested onsite tasks to aid in the troubleshooting or remediation of problems. You'll report to the Director IT of Workplace and Regional Services. 

This is a Continental European role and your main office will be in Lewedorp in the Netherlands. You will travel up to 60% to our several plants/offices within continental Europe (2 in Netherlands, 1 in Belgium, 1in Poland). 

Role and responsibilities

You provide onsite or work with third party vendors to support a variety of IT hardware and software. You may be assigned to monitor system backups, perform restoration of data, perform mobile phone account administration, raise purchase requests, obtain quotes, receive orders, liaise with local contractors and explain work requirements ensuring quotes are accurate. You lead a team of 7 IT professionals, and will coach junior employees to take responsibility for their development. 

• You conduct software testing and installation in support of application packing and deployment;
• You adhere to all appropriate IT Service Management practices for Incident Management, Problem Management and Change management using the ITSM tools for self-assigning tickets, following up on tickets and providing resolution; 
• you are responsible to ensure standard McCain PC images are applied and maintained on McCain assets; 
• You understand and communicate the technology needs of the business area(s) to global teams; 
• You participate in measuring performance and business alignment, scheduling resources in step with business requirements as well as Global Technical Services procedures and standards; 
• You participate within planning and monitoring activities, tasks and work packages; 
• You manage financial elements of the regional IT budgets (Capital and Opex) for IT projects as PC Evergreen & Various Evergreen. 

Requirements

• You have 5 years of experience in IT, and a first experience within leading an international team. 
• Minimum technical certifications, A+, preferred Microsoft certifications. 
• Fundamental knowledge of general networking technologies including Wireless LANs. 
• Strong and effective communication skills to all levels in the organization. 
• Excellent English and Dutch as required and Polish as optional language skills are required. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
