Controller Assistant

As part of the European Agriculture Finance organization, we are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our European team located in Holland and France. In this role, you will lead the financial control process for potatoes, preparing reports and analyses that contribute to our success as a company

Role and responsibilities

• Oversee the financial control of potato operations, including monitoring overheads and operational costs. 
• Participate in the budgeting process. 
• Manage statistical data, inventory control, and GL reconciliation. 
• Provide weekly/monthly accounting reports and analytical support to management. 
• Lead projects such as implementing operational procedures and optimizing transaction flows. Collaborate on invoicing processes for the potatoes and seeds business. 
• Handle claims and control potato flow at the grading station through daily operational reports. 
• Maintain the effectiveness of processes and procedures. 
• Approve and book freight invoices. 
• Participate in internal and external audits and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Requirements

• Maintain effectiveness of processes and procedures 
• Freight invoices approbation and booking
